    Working outdoors

I prefer to carry while working on my land. Problem: My OWB/IWB holsters (even with a nice, rigid bianchi belt) drag my pants down when doing woods walks, weeding, chainsawing and generally maintaining our property.

    Suggestions?

Chest rig? (Alien has a nice one, for example)
    Better belt option?
Shoulder holster? (I have a ww2 pattern M3 holster for my 4” .38, that is not very conducive to heavy work)
My 9mm is pretty light but i could go lighter with a j-frame, if i can find one?

Have you thought about suspenders? That's what I would have to do if I were in your situation.

Clip on suspenders added to your current gear. That's my no BS assessment anyway.

I think I'd go with 'work' suspenders; pretty annoying to have a clip let go in back.

Work suspenders and a better belt. Don't waste your money on a shoulder holster. Good for Hollywood movies but not much else.

Get a pair of Uncle Jesse overalls.

Watch out for Boss Hog though.

Almost every day I use a Kenai chest rig. Very comfortable compared to all the belt holsters I have used. Works well with a pack.
What about the 19th? Can the Commerce Clause be used to make it illegal for voting women to buy shoes from another state?

Nice, thanks. I'll check these out.

Also, really like the idea of these, from Hill People gear:

I think the CCW space is a no-brainer. I also, think about how much gear I had while working last weekend.

                  Gloves
                  Multi-tool
                  Air-pod case
                  bushcraft knife
                  spare mag
                  Cell phone
                  Small snack bar

that's in addition to the chainsaw, gas can and sickle-bar trimmer that I carried to the bottom of our property to trim back underbrush and start cutting up a storm-felled eucalyptus.

Depends also on your shape in the mid-section. If you are on the rounder side, belt will likely not work as well as something that goes around the shoulders.

                      Suspenders

I wear suspenders under my shirt. Elastic suspenders help some, but I finally went to leather. The elastic suspenders stretch and distort, and the adjustment buckles are always slipping. Clip-ons are a bummer, they unclip themselves at the worst times. So I ended up with Perry leather suspenders. Perry suspenders have attachments that securely hold/support your belt, not your pants.

With leather Perry's and a decent belt, I can carry a full size 1911 IWB or a full size HK USP OWB with very little effort.

I have an Alien Gear chest rig and I like it. It's not very suitable for CCW, though, unless it's heavy coat weather.

I carry a gun everyday at my place. I do everything with it on. I use a basic high quality leather holster.

Yep-suspenders are great. I was watching a NRA video of a shooting class and all of the 20+ shooters(except 1 female person) were wearing suspenders. Airport security is a pain. "Take them off; they are triggering the alarm."

How about a Battle Belt set-up? The belt sits on your hips and is not threaded thru your pants. It will hold a lot of weight and can even have suspenders added for additional support. At end of day, just unclip the buckle & take off.

Add: and forget shoulder holsters, they'll just get in the way if you plan on doing any real work.
