I paid for a stock on 3/1/2021.

1 excuse on the 8th.

no Stock, does not respond to email, or PM's

They may all be the same account holder, they gave each other positive ratings, but each have a few that link back up to themselves.

There's something to be said about using a service, at least there's recourse.

Winner winner chicken dinner...Almost everyone falling for a scam is trying to "get a deal" for a few bucks" or get an "unbelievable deal too good to be true"...

Exactly. I put 20 people to the block list this week alone. All members for years but have less then 20 post and the post they do have are always to one main account. I save all the scammer n flakes on my phone.

I reported all of those a month ago, and also waterb0rn, because it appeared they were leaving shill feedback to further scams against Calgunners.

Mods did not nuke them - and it seems they are all still being used to further scams here. Perhaps mods are playing 3D chess to see how deep this virus goes, but in the mean time people are still losing money...

However, no one should be sending irretrievable funds to new members or any with low post and/or low feedback. DON'T DO IT!

Depending on how much the 'stock' cost i doubt the police will do anything but take a report....

Many people do not bother to as much as hit the red triangle to report being scammed.
That is the fastest way to get mods. attention.

Many others do not give negative or neutral iTrader ratings to warn the rest of us.

Some times, not sure why they are not kicked out.

OP got burned on a WTB ad, not a FS ad. I am curious if and how those other forums would protect someone in a WTB scenario where the scammer approaches via PM? Maybe we can do something similar if so...

I think people may be spoiled by Ebay, Amazon, or basically how the retail market works now. They make everything easy for a 3-5 percent take on all transactions to make a profit but also for all these scammers and hackers out there. Here if we get scammed, total loss. It's the flea market and craigslist of the internet folks. Buyer Beware!

THIS needs to be addressed. I can' think of a more important / basic function of a moderator than to address a fake user trying to scam members.
