    My next SBR?

I already have .223 and 300blk. What else shoots well out of a short barrel on the AR15 platform?

Easy answer 9mm, difficult to acquire.

7.62x39. Much easier to get than .300 BO, .223 or 9 mm these days.

But, I'd rather use the $200 to SBR another gun instead of making another AR an SBR...

9mm cmmg RDB hands down smooth recoil impulse. Any other 9mm build has way to much recoil. Or a .22lr sbr with a binary trigger!

I replaced the buffer with an h2 or h3 and it works well enough for my 7" 223 and 5" 9mm

They shoot well out of Krinks, but what about short barreled AR's?

I've actually got a stripped lower and can't decide what to do with it. If I go with x39 I will be able to put my 30cal suppressor on it, not so much with 9mm.

Build it as a pistol first before SBR for maximum flexibility? Crossing state lines, where allowed, without 5320.20, carrying loaded in vehicles in some states, etc.

Yes, 30 cal is good for x39, but there are some rifle cans that can take a 9 mm without going to .338 cans, like Dead Air Wolfman and SiCo Omega 36M.

I'd go with a 6.8spc. Can still use with the 30 cal can.

Both .223 and 300blk were pistols first no reason to go there again. I have other rifles to take to other states.

Do they shoot well out of short barrels? How short?

Supposedly 458S was developed to shoot those heavy subs and 10” is optimal barrel length.

But from what I see, the “effective” suppressors are pretty long

10 mm using ar upper. Otherwise .308 upper with 12" barrel.
