    Hello,

I'm interested in the S&S M&P Shield. I have only ever before purchased guns direct from an FFL so I am new to this process and I not sure about the implications of it being "off roster".

    Thanks for your time

Could have sent a message to the wrong person? How would this scam even work?

With new posters ALWAYS assume it’s a scam. I’ve stopped trying to sell stuff it’s been so ridiculous.

I would send him back to the seller from the one post he has.

If we write off new members, how will we expand our community?

If it seems like a scam, just ignore it. If you're considering selling to a new member with no feedback, take a non-refundable deposit via Zelle. If they don't agree, move on.

Maybe we can set up a subforum where scam sellers can meet scam buyers?

Yeah, sounds like a response to wrong calgunner. Just help out a new member and return to sender.
Last week, I had ppt's with two new members and both turned out to be good folks and had two hassle free transactions. I did have my reservations at first but after communications, felt better and more confident in going ahead to make a deal.
I've had a no show before with another new member but eh, it didn't bother me that much and I see it happen with not new members.

Sometimes you just have to roll the dice. Couple years back new member post a 308 bilt gun for 180 bucks. Everyone posted howbit was stolen or a scam. I shot him a PM agreed to meet at ffl and everything went smooth. I got a nice rifle for cheap.

Or a NOOB who goofed sending his first PM.

                              I vote for the latter.

                              Nice welcome for new member.
