Has DROS system been down for the past 2 weeks?

My brother's been trying to pick up the guns he transferred at OakTree Gun Club for 2 weeks, but they say the DROS system is down every time he comes in or calls. Has it been down for this long?

No, they didnt renew in time or at all most likely. There's been a few shops/threads that claimed the same/similar issue

The problem exists between oak tree and the CA DOJ alone. The reasons can vary, but most likely their renewal fee wasn't paid on time. Getting it reactivated can take a bit. So they aren't lying when they say its down, but its just down for them. Unfortunately, nothing can be done until its back up.

2 lowers, 1 pistol and 1 PPT in the last 2 weeks. The LGS wants to save face for not doing their renewal on time and blame others.

Sounds like an Oaktree problem. A friend of mine just picked up a new shotgun at Angeles Armory with no issues.

If the issue is only on the dealer's side, in this case Oaktree, bad bad bad for Oaktree. If true, that's a serious trust issue.

90% of the time "the DROS system is down" is BS for "we didn't pay the DROS bill" or "we didn't renew the responsible party's COE" in time.

Last Tuesday my shop called, the system said high call volume, call back tomorrow. He called back right away and got through. Go figure.

Was not down last couple days. Did dros thur and sent my buddy to get revolver yesterday at same shop no problem. I am going to oaktree today to post ad on board. I will ask.
