How much would you pay for an off roster gun?

My last off roster was 5 years ago I think, $800 for a P99c ($600 retail at the time). It has never jammed and my daily carry and my best shooter during qualification.

Just for clarification, this is CALguns.net, the CAL is for California, not caliber or Calvin (craigslist).
Gun should have little to no wear which includes at least a mag (10rds) and made in the last 10 years.

That’s a loaded question. Don’t you think it depends on the firearm, condition and where it’s being offered for sale? It’s like asking how much would I pay for a 1970 car? What car? Condition? Is it being sold in Florida or California?

For something that has 'actual craftsmanship', or is very unique and maybe discontinued, I can see where paying more might make sense to someone who is a collector, enthusiast etc.. But to pay 3X the value of an in-production plastic wonder-gun like a Sig 365 or Hellcat is just plain foolish IMO. People have really lost their sense of way around this planet.

How much would you pay for an off roster gun?

My last off roster was a Q5 Match SF Pro last November. $3K but including 1K box of Federal Syntech 115GR.

It was fair to me... I sold my CZ Shadow 2, which I originally got with $2K, for $2,500 to fund it.

If I wanted it enough to match its price. I had a 365 xl briefly I got in a trade, it was a nice gun but not a nice enough gun for me to justify its valuation. Sold it to get my money back. I have a 1911 that cost me a little extra over an on roster version, I kept it because the differential was relatively minor and I like the way it looks a little more than the closest on roster model. I paid a bit extra for my Ruger mark ii, a buckmark would have probably served equally well but I decided I liked the mark ii a bit more.

Value is subjective. Hence many off roster guns sell for prices that seem nuts to me, but make make perfect sense to the buyers. It's apparent in the marketplace forums that many people value off roster guns highly.

Guy had a 43 when I was buying my Walther. I only regret it as a possible investment or trade for something else.

This is a silly Poll, there are too many factors to give an across the board percentage. Just because something is off-roster does not make it worth more to the buyer. IMO you would be lucky to get the $600 you paid for it since there are newer Walthers being produced now that would get a premium. I just paid a stupid price for a BNIB Glock 19.5 MOS, but it was worth it to me and looking at the prices just a few weeks later they are listed a few hundred higher. No regrets here.
My opinions are my own and do not represent the position of other companies I may be involved with.

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

I fully support honest LEOs. But I refuse to pay premium for any off roster handguns as a part of this underground economy..
