JC Higgins fire control assembly help needed

Not specific to your case, but in general, the trigger retains the hammer and the safety blocks the trigger.
Then you have the shell lifter which is typically actuated by the action bar.
Each part has a spring that moves the part.
With that simple knowledge and the actual parts in front of you, it's just a matter of seeing which part fits where.
The safety and trigger are usually super obvious, leaving the hammer to the unused pin hole.
The lifter should be super obvious too because it only fits one way.
The parts diagram should show which direction the springs sit and therefore which way you wind them.

The more parts you get used up, the fewer that are left and they become more obvious where they go.Last edited by ar15barrels; 03-10-2021, 12:59 PM.Randall Rausch
