It is usually 2 or 3 centerfire pistol stages and a 3-gun. Rimfire is just this month, though who knows how the ammo shortage will affect it in the future. We may have more rimfire matches.

Rimfire matches are a blast! I used to do the 200 mile round trip to "A Place to Shoot" from Bakersfield every month when we had them there.

Could some one give some more info. What distance, typ, and number of targets are you shooting at ? Bench, prone, standing etc. How many rounds are needed? Are scores kept and different classes? Interested.

I can't make it this Saturday, unfortunately, and wouldn't you know it! my Marlin 39A finally has new sights on it.

I've been to one of these fun matches, and they are exactly that: fun!

Very informal competition over various courses of fire, mostly standing and offhand.

            Have fun, folkses!

Courses will be offhand for pistol and rifle. We generally shoot silhouettes or reactive targets. If they have had rain, we get to shoot steel targets. Distance will be from 7 yards to 25 yards, but mostly in the 10 to 15 yard range. In our centerfire matches, I usually bring 150 rounds and shoot about 100. I would say 200 rimfire should be plenty.

Scores are kept. Since the membership has shrunk so much, we no longer have classes. 15 years ago or so ago, I won A class a couple years running after progressing through C and then B. Back then, we even had an awards dinner and trophies....
