I've found them all to be the same. I don't use the pistol grips and triggers that come with the kits anymore, the rest of the stuff is pretty standard.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Trigger itself will be the biggest difference. If you customize the trigger, magazine release and (possibly) safety, the rest is pretty much the same.

ive seen the safety break on some cheap ones i like that kind of safety that has the thickness go all the way to the center

sometimes there are stamping burs on the disconnector that causes it to act irregular

Honestly, I think they're all made by the same company and just rebranded. Think AR uppers and lowers, made by Cerro Forge and others, yet sold to many companies that just roll mark it.

It's not just a single company, but I think the same thing. I can tell the difference between some LPK parts, but only minor things that don't really effect function.

The biggest distinction is USA made vs Chinese import.

The USA made ones will work as advertised. The Chinese ones will sometimes have fit/function issues, but not always.

How to tell which is which? Price is usually the number 1 giveaway. Second, the import ones tend to have those small re-closeable bags with the red strip on the zip lock part. Its just a trait I've noticed over the years. Not a sure thing, but more often than not.

I was wondering the same thing so what do you guys think a price for a USA LPK should be? Any brands you can recommend that are definitely made in the USA 100%

For building a nice stripped lower, like a Larue or Radian, I buy a name brand like Geiselle LPK. If anything, it makes me feel good I have not compromised. For an Anderson Poverty Pony or PSA novelty lower, any LPK will do.

I tend to buy the kits with the least components as I tend to accumulate standard mil-spec parts such as grips, triggers and bolt catches as I usually upgrade those.

I'm sure Chinese-made parts work almost as well for such simple pieces, just like shooting a bottom drawer AR with a good barrel.

If you're referring to Calguns, it is the poors' personal gun board.

OT, I take a regular look on arfcom in the ar parts for sale section.

A month or 2 ago I picked up 4 pounds of lower parts...springs and detents by the pile, pins, trigger parts, etc. I've used a few so far and checked them on neighbor's hardness tester. No sign of MIM junk at this point. The pile of stuff ran ~ $30 including priority mail. I've normally found that reading the FS ads remind me to keep spares on hand, not only on AR's but other guns I own.

I like the aero parts kits.

I recently built out a lower with v seven Ti parts for fun, and for small parts like takedown and pivot pin spring and detent and mag catch spring, I used the $10 aero springs only kit
