LGS adding days to jail time, STILL

    It's March, 2021

Just had an LGS add 4 more days quoting just to be safe. There's not even many people standing in lines anymore and for the past 6 months all my purchases have gone through in 10 exact. Sacramento area.

      Maybe they’re being precautious.

Phone ahead to check for status?

My issue has been getting an appointment. FFL is still busy so just because I can go get it, doesn't mean they have any openings. Usually can get in close though.

Life's journey is not to arrive safely in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy schit...what a ride"!!

River City Gun Exchange. To be fair, they almost always have stuff, whatever gun, whatever bullets. But they are pricier/gouging and I have bought 2 guns from them in the past year with the same buffer time added. If I had known, I would have made sure and not signed anything before purchase, or made them write down, for my purchase, 10 business days if store is open.

I'm not one to make a scene, especially if I make the trip and they turn me away at the door. I was just wondering if people have seen this recently. It ticks me off but being a gun owner, gotta learn to control my emotions.

There's no reason for "just to be safe". The DROS paper states specifically the date and time it can be picked up- down to the second.

Sounds like getting an FFL1 license would get a decent part time job for a retiree in CA... Not so much here though.

This. Absolutely no reason to wait beyond the mandated 10 days. I would out the LGS. Others should know what they're up against.

                      Sorry for the trouble OP.

What is the point of arbitrarily adding time? I get that they might be closed around the pick up date but why add more? I would call after day and time on your DROS pick up and head on down. I hate my property sitting scared and alone in jail.

Dicks made people wait till the 11th day to pick up.

                          Adding 4 more is excessive.

That's ridiculous. I guess they can do what they want as their own policy, did you ask ahead of time and knew that that was going to be the situation, or did they spring it on you last minute and say no you need to wait 4 days out of an abundance of precaution

It's a 9mm so it can take care of itself, as long as there are only 11 attackers and its aim is true. Hopefully it beat the heck out of the biggest guy there on the first day and got some solitary. Wouldn't want it catching the covid....
