    keltecfirearms.com real or scammer?

Was trying to become a keltec owner, not sure if I was scammed.
Paid for a keltec last week from keltecfirearms.com, odd payment process, now no reply from them.
Was trying to have it shipped to an ffl I've been to in the past; bay area.
keltecweapons.com btw from what I understand is the real keltec web site.
Also posted this on a couple keltec specific forums.
    Anyone know anything?
Thanks for any replies folks, take care.

Call Keltec Customer Service and see what they say.

Might be a licensed distributor or a known scammer.

    Let us know.

    GL

ps: Be prepared to cancel asap if possible. They can't be too busy if there is limited product to sell so poor communication is a bad sign.

Thanks I did talk to keltec on the phone, the person said they didn't know keltecfirearms.com, but the person was just verbally replying, it didn't sound like they were referring to a distributor list. They said keltec sells to distributors, who generally don't sell to individuals, but only to dealers (?). It's not easy to get keltec on the phone and they don't seem concerned about making any effort to help anyone.

Payment; first they said to use an app; Zelle. I hadn't heard of it, but downloaded the app, probably shouldn't have. The app needed access to a lot of information on my phone, so I said forget this and deleted the app. Then they said I could buy it using MoneyGram. I personally had never used MoneyGram previously, it was a pita, but whatever, I went thru the process; $1100 is gone.
Maybe I can contact MoneyGram and least let them know?
Yes; I was stupid, hopefully some of you can learn from my idiot mistake.

Yes, you got scammed. It looks like Moneygram has a feature to cancel a transfer? https://www.moneygram.com/mgo/us/en/...money-transfer

My wife and I got scammed once (house rental scam). We made a payment through Money Gram at Walmart. No recourse--bye-bye money. Lesson learned.

Report this to LE with all your documentation of the transaction. It's not likely they can do anything, but you never know.

Always use a credit card. If there is no option on the site to use one, run away!

                Thanks, I submitted a case w/ Moneygram.
Oh well, hopefully others might see this and not make the same mistake.

There's usually a reason when a web store didn't list its address or phone number.

                      Of course it's a scam.

It requires payment methods that literally have no recourse.
It allows you to checkout and pay for weapons that are illegal in California.

                      No warnings, no business address.

If it seems like it's too good to be true, it is.

Thanks. FWIW the firearm ordered is legal in Kali.

FWIW, the moneygram was sent to Ryan Bowman, Virginia, 22554.
                          Buyer beware.

When they start asking for payment through some kind of a strange digital manner, you know it's a scam. Run away.
