Interesting. I too have a PSA AR and I noticed the same thing when trying to zero my carry handle sight using a Sightmark 50 yards away.

I have an AK like that. The sight is keyed with the barrel, those pins go through holes that are drilled into the barrel. The only fix is to compensate with the rear windage (if you have the adjustment), or mount a scope, don't know about redrilling the holes. Just live with it, get a battle worthy AR and you won't have that problem. No it isn't normal but they will say it's within specifications because technically it is.

Here's my AK and Colt H-Bar, my Barrett came with plastic MagPul, removed MP and mounted a scope. I could never get the AK straight, the barrel has flat spots to key the pins in, not drilled through.

The whole reason for having adjustable sights is to that you can adjust them...

yeah, my last psa upper was like that. i solved it by mounting a prism scope on it. and this was bought 4 years ago before all the rush.

to be honest though, if you really think about it, how many times do you really think you will be adjusting your rear sight for windage? most people that use AR15's are going to zero it once then just "kentucky windage" it after that. no one really adjusts the rear sight for windage these days after zeroing.

if it's zeroed then it's fine. but if you're ocd, then that's another matter.

Drop it on your carpet a few times. It'll straighten itself out.

Back in '99 I bought a Bushmaster 20" A2 HB XM15, had the same problem. I maxed out the windage adjustment in order to zero it. Fortunately for me it wasn't necessary to use Kentucky windage adjustments like my Mauser needs.

It wasn't until almost two years after I bought it that I heard about Bushmaster having issues with canted front sights. I removed my upper, inverted it and set it upside down on a flat level surface (kitchen counter), and sure enough, only one of the front sight ears was on the counter.

If you can't get a mechanical zero (front/rear sights) you send it back to the circus for correction or your money back. Cheap AR clone uppers are cheap for a reason.

                      This...
It's only an issue if you run out of adjustment without obtaining a zero.

Old timers used to give the barrel a tweek by bending it slightly in the crotch of a tree!
I have not personally tried it though !

Buy belt fed and never adjust a sight again #volume.
