moderators, why would you close my thread i had in the C&R section regarding 03FFLs/COEs and ammo ordering?

i was asking for help finding the law text so that i can send it to max-arms per their request. was some huge rule broken in my thread? what was the problem?

when you close someone's thread you should notify them why. to do otherwise reminds me of what the left has been doing to trump and all of us the last 4 years. ya know, canceling, censoring, etc.

I didn't close it, but looks like you got the answer you needed - what more needs to be said?

And, lots of threads get closed; sometimes I'll stick a note at the end of the thread, sometime, with a person who has 10 or so posts, I might send a PM.

I think it was closed because after you succeeded with the issue, the discussion was steered to the main thread on the topic of 03 ammo vendors. That way we don't end up with a forked discussion on the 03 friendly ammo vendors.

really? i got my answer so what more needs to be said? well, for starters i think that's a smart *** response from you and lacks an answer to my question. i have no idea what the "10 or so posts" comment means. then it appears you do know why it was locked, but instead of telling me you type a link and tell me to go search out a post in the link. uh yeah, ok dude. and you're supposed to be a so-called moderator?

by your response it appears that you're the sole person with the ability to lock a thread, yet you say you didn't do it, have no idea who did, and have no idea why.

with that said, i'd still like to know why it was locked. can the person who locked it please explain why so that next time I/WE don't break whatever rule we broke in order to avoid being censored again? did we use profanity? nope. did we do something illegal? nope. ok, then what?

ok, but so so what if something is asked or repeated that's been asked or said before. i've noticed that's a big NO NO on this website and people are constantly shamed for it. why??? why is it such a crime that something is, god forbid, asked or said twice? who F'n cares???!!! it's a social website for christ's sake. is it that big a deal that people are shamed, posts are moved, posts are locked, etc and so forth? seriously, what is the big F'n deal on this site?

Sometimes, after the more "legalese" thread questions get answered, they are closed to keep the thread short and the answer clear.
People start arguing or just yapping and the answer gets lost in the extra noise at times.

The people that need that same answer later probably appreciate the shortness and clarity.

Some people go out of their way to shame people for duplicates or stupid questions/comments, the vast majority here do not.
That is going to happen almost anywhere except for places like DU, where they just get banned asap for not being in lock step.

calling the mods smxxx asxxx will get you kicked out. They do a good job of keeping posts civil and legal.
