    Barrett 98B .338 Lapua Mag

I am interested in buying the Barrett 98B but not sure exactly if this rifle is illegal in California. If so where can I find an actual list of rifles and handguns that are legal and illegal?

I got mine from Knesek Guns, waited only 3 months. Give 'em a call knesekguns.com Larry might be able to find you one in a month or two! And he sells 'em the cheapest from all others. While you're at it have him slap on a Nightforce 5.5-22 and you will be set!

For the love of god why do you want a BRAVO 98! They are less than accurate. SUB 1MOA is lousy compaired to other guns of the same caliber shooting 1/2 MOA or better in .338.

IT is CA legal but why bother when there are so many other options, Desert Tactical, AIWS, Anzio, PGM, Surgeon, GAP, PGWTDI, These are all .338 variants within the same price range or EDM (used).

Check out the calguns OLL list AW flow chart and the CA approved hand gun list.

I think you will change your mind if you fired one . All I can tell you is that I was pinging the 600y plate all day long (haven't found a range beyond that). BTW it has a 1:10 twist so it's perfect for the new 300gr bullets, extending it's reach to about a mile. That's good enough for me! Not to mention its really sexy

I have a Desert Tactical coming. I had a 98B come through our shop, and it WAS beautiful. I like the look/size/barrel interchangeability of the DTA, but that is NOT to say the 98B isn't worth the wait...

It is legal, and it is a great looking rifle. But darn that puppy is expensive

I like the barrel interchangeability too - really inventive! Are going to get both - 308 & 338? What scope are putting on it?
