The "Help Thy Neighbor Find A Gun" Thread

As we all know it's hard to find a gun you want these days. So the idea behind this thread is if you go into a gun shop for any reason and see something cool in stock, that you can't afford yourself, help thy neighbor out and post it here. Gun shops don't generally keep their websites up to date so report back here often to see if someone spotted something you might like at a gunshop near you.

    Rules:
    1. Post gun shop name and city
    2. Post make and model
    3. Post date and time you saw
    4. (Voluntary) If you snag a gun because of this thread post a pic of what you got to show that the thread works

That's it. Hopefully this gets big enough we can make it a sticky.

When I called last Friday 2/12, Solar tactical in livermore Ca had an AR15 upper and lower receiver set, 2A Armament Palouse, that’s normally $235, on sale for $650 with a free 13.5” handguard

If there's anything in stock at my favorite LGS, it's usually gone within a few hours. So posting about it on this forum would be pointless because you couldn't get there fast enough.

Since I started the thread I'll start with I spotted a beautiful Model 70 Supergrade out in Colusa, CA at Kittles Outdoor when picking up a PPT pre 64 model 70. I think it was 7mm mag. It's been a few days so may want to call before you make the trek.

I don't know if it would be completely pointless; but, in general, it's likely to be a day late and a dollar short.

If what my LGS's have isn't gone within a short time frame after being put on the shelf, it never makes the shelf in that they are all creating waiting lists for some of the more commonly demanded firearms. Even those waiting lists require those on them to be quick in that if you're called, you'd better pick up the phone and/or have the payment ready; otherwise, they move on to the next person on the list. (Well... There are a few regulars who do pay cash and can be trusted to come down ASAP to start the DROS; but, for most, it's a safer play to give 'em the credit card number when they call, then get down there ASAP.) Likewise, if you wanted something like a Glock this, but they got a Glock that in the same caliber and called, if you argue that it's not the specific model you want, they say... "Okay. We'll keep you on the list."... then they quickly hang up and call the next name. You don't get time to 'consider' and call back.

It's just like the price shoppers I've seen. They hit the one shop, get the price, then hit the next shop and often try to haggle. My LGS's have, literally, thrown people out who pushed that tactic. They are patient, to a point, but have stopped even 'suggesting' price ranges on the phone. The price is what it is when you are standing there looking at it... take it or get out of the way because the next person is gonna take it. So far, there hasn't been any, true, gouging, but most of the prices are definitely higher than they were and there is no certainty that the shop is going to be able to get 'another one' any time soon or any date certain.

I've been to multiple gun shops that actually have things in stock without long lines. Yes, maybe if your normal gun shop is in the heart of San Jose or Los Angeles Angeles the shelves are going to be empty. Don't shoot an idea down just because it's only what YOU know.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

Yep, speaking of which, there were a bunch of Glocks and smith and wesson revolvers at the Travis BX. There was even a benelli m4.
