Canadian gun ownership a privilege no a right .

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Tuesday called for sweeping measures, amendments to an existing gun control law, that would permit municipalities to ban handguns and institute a new federal buy-back program.

Nice to know Canada our neighbor to our North and Mexico our neighbor to the South are gun friendly Countries . Hope you sense the sarcasm in my statement .
Old problems are like dry poop, if you let the dry poop sit it doesn't smell but the minute you decide to stir the poop with a stick, the smell comes back. Moral of the story, Don't bring up old problems!

What, this is news to you? In other news, water is wet.
You understand other countries do not have the second amendment, or anything close to it.

No its not news to me , of course I know That the United States and Guatemala are the only countries with the right to firearm ownership in their constitution . I posted it as a sarcastic post . But so you know If we define "wet" as a sensation that we get when a liquid comes in contact with us, then yes, water is wet to us. If we define "wet" as "made of liquid or moisture", then water is definitely wet because it is made of liquid, and in this sense, all liquids are wet because they are all made of liquids.

Switzerland Finland and Norway have more guns per capita and are considered the safest nation around. You won't find street gangs hustling drugs like Chicago. The problem is the gangs and drugs which cause the violence not the guns. The rest are distractions created by Democrats because they dont want to deal the gangs.

Poverty is also a key driver of violence

Only about 10% of Canadians own guns legally so it’s way easier for politicians to be anti gun without election consequences. Also, it seems like big law changes happen after mass shootings, when there is a government majority

I was in Vancouver last year, went into a gun store. They even had a gang related drive-by where a ex convict was shot but no one else was hurt. Canadians are so kind and thoughtful they don't shoot up the entire place, just the target.

Also, here's a gun store up there as of 2 year ago.

The sarcasm in the OP is largely lost, as it's fairly normal in the rest of the world.

New Zealand and Australia are two other countries where gun ownership was largely allowed, until it wasn't. Firearms ownership there was a privilege, and was severely curtailed after mass shootings.

NZ had a large "assault weapon" buyback a year or two ago. Don't think it went quite as smooth as they hoped it would.
