Long range shooting spots, socal

I usually go to hodge road but I cant seem to find a spot where I can shoot longer then 300 yards. Looking for a spot out to 500 to 1000yards. If you can help me out I would appreciate it. I come in and come out with what I got. I use steel targets so I am not leaving a mess. I pick up my brass.

Did you try coming in from old route 66 national trails highway.

I'd share some good spots, but guys trash them. Try off highway 395. How far are you looking to go? I have some spots we use to reach out past a mile. PM me, but I don't want a bunch of guys trashing and crowding my areas [emoji6]

I know there is a shooting range in lancaster Palmdale area that goes out to 1000yards I just can't seem to remember the name maybe some one on here knows the name

Nothing worse than publishing a spot you have, that you clean up when you leave and find clean when you come back, and letting all the gun owning filth read about it here and then trash the place.

How gun owners can take crap out to the desert, shoot it and leave it makes me furious. They just give anti’s a reason to keep going. Hodge Rd. is such a sad sight and getting worse.

Santa Margarita Gun Club at MCB Camp Pendleton. You don't need to be a member to sign-up and shoot Midrange (500yd) or LongRange (1,000yd) events.

It's rare when you're able to use the 1000 yard range as you have to close off access to most of the range, so only able to during late night hours.

They used to hold monthly 1,000yd NRA matches in the past, don't know if they still do.

It is a ways to get there for those living South Orange County, plus you have to flag off part of the range to use the 1000 yards... lots of better places on BLM land.

Off the 40 where they hold the King of 2 miles is good
