Weird gun control PSA on Pluto TV

Maybe this is only being pushed in CA...

I just saw a weird gun control PSA type of commercial that repeated the exact same sequence 3 times with graphics, telling you that guns should be stored, unloaded, with a trigger lock, in a safe, with the ammo locked away in a separate place. It had this creepy minor key piano bit in the background with a monotone female voice explaining how it will keep kids safe. It literally felt like an attempt at psychological programming. Just last week I read Gaby Giffords was saying we need to get Hollywood to produce content concerning gun violence for the government. It also mirrors the terms of a federal gun control bill that Richard Blumenthal is trying to get passed right now. The commercial played again about 15 min later. There was nothing in it that said who it was for or who sponsored it.

Anyone else in California seen this? I searched for any mention of it on both youtube and duckduckgo, so maybe it just dropped. "They Live" might have been the inspiration.

For every responsible calguns member, there's an equal number of idiots who keep a loaded shotgun behind the bedroom door while their kids play in the living room. And youtube gun fails are fun and all but if you think about it, each fail was done by someone who thought they were experts of their weapon, only to blow up their gun, injure someone or themselves, then thought it was cool enough to share it ...

I guess if I consider the target audience is those with young children, I can appreciate the intent of the message. The method of delivery is very Pavlovian, which is what I found odd. I thought it was stuck in a loop (streaming TV yo) the first time it aired.

Trigger locks and safes inspired my lock picking skills.

This will only bother the slow and stupid.

                Subliminal brainwashing in it.
