    RIFLE SLUGS ?

    i got a mossburg 500 12 gauge combo set. 28 inch barrel modified choke. 18 inch barrel cylinder bore. can i shoot rifle slugs out of these barrels. i want to be safe and not cause damage to my shotgun. any suggestions. thank you

    You might get better/more responses over in the shotgun forum. But, based upon what you typed, unless there is something I do not know about your choke, you should be able to shoot slugs out of that gun. (BTW, they kick like a mule)

      Anyways, to OP, are you planning on shooting the full copper slugs or lead slugs?

        Modified choke may be a little too tight for slugs. Cylinder bore is fine with it. I used to hit 16" steel plate at 300 yards with rifled slugs regularly.
