    PPT Slide Changed

Not sure if this is the right thread... Looking for info on PPT. I am thinking of selling my S&W M&P9 1.0. I originally got it as a M&P9L Performance Center, with the 5" slide. A couple years later I wanted the 4.25" Performance Center slide, so I ordered that and sold the 5" slide kit. If I sell the m&p and transfer with the 4.25" slide, is there any issue with checking serial and what not. Or do I need to get the 5" slide kit back and then sell it. Very confused.

There shouldn't be a problem. Explain the slide change to the FFL so they make sure to use the serial number on the frame to transfer.

No need to explain anything to the FFL. They don't know how it came from the factory and they don't care. They just enter it as it is in front of them.
      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Aren't the serial numbers on the M&P's on the frame only? I don't think there is one on the slide. Unlike Glocks.

It wouldn't matter if there was a serial number on the slide.

OP, you are overthinking it. Sell the gun in the configuration you want, it is no problem.

I would let the buyer know so that he know what he is actually getting.

FFL will enter Make, model, serial number, and barrel length as the gun sits on the counter. Neither him nor the system care if it was converted to a shorter slide/barrel.
S&W M&P9 1.0 with frame serial number xxx with a berral length of 4.25" gets registered to buyer. No problems for seller.

Some manufacturers put the serial # on both the frame and slide. If the slide has been changed and FFL writes the slide serial in the paperwork, then there will be a major problem. I sold a CZ 75BD with a Kadet slide. They put the gun as a 22lr with the Kadet serial #. Luckily I noticed it while checking the paperwork and was corrected.
