Mossberg 500 barrel clamp

Anybody have an inexpensive barrel to mag tube clamp that fits a Mossberg pump? The ATI version wedges them apart when tightened, the centerlines of the barrel and mag tube on the Mossberg are too close together.

Magpul has a sling mount / clamp

also Nordic sells a heavy wall and standard clamp. They say the heavy wall is for 590, 930 types that have a large barrel to mag tube offset. I wonder if the clamp you have is such a clamp, and that is why it tries to force them apart.

Mossberg 500 has a threaded tube end... you should not need a clamp.
The Takedown screw supports the tube on the 500... unless they made a change







The 8 shot mossberg 500 barrel is paired with a longer magazine tube than the 5 shot standard



Clamps are for un supported tubes...the benelli M2 factury tube is short so no clamp is needed- extend it and you want a clamp

I am using it for a side sling mount and to stop a heat shield from scooting fwd. It is the 20" bbl with 8-shot mag.

So you need a mounting point for a sling....

for the 8 shot model, why not something that replaced the cap at the end of the magazine tube?

If you 100% need the heat guard- well keep it... mine cracked a weld, twisted and locked up the action.


After taking a bunch of shotgun classes, no instructors run a head shield and I have never burned my hand on the barrel....

Then the gun hangs too low for my taste.

Pretty basic, has been around for years, cheap.
