With the exception of the 350 Legend which is only useful in States that require straight walled cartridges, the rest of them have no advantage over existing factory loads.

Still an old cartridge. Proves the same point. How light? Too light for .270? Time to go .243.

7mm-08 is a good all around but still less traditional. Plus, I’ve been buying .270 and seeing .243 & 06 in lead cheap all over. Next step down would be .223 for me. All proven cartridges with a wide range of loads. Anything smaller would be pretty specialized. If only there were good lead free .22 LR and Mag. That’s all you need.

Yeah but there's no free lunch, and I was just using .270 as an example vs. these new offerings. We all know the 7mm-08 is a great choice for lighter recoil and it's been around forever.

Smaller how? 204 Ruger seems to be doing fine work on yotes on down, which is about where the .223 nicely fits unless you think it's a proper deer cartridge.

As I don't hunt with either, I don't need a lead free .22 LR or mag.

In the end ammo companies want to sell ammo, and making new stuff helps them do that. So what's the problem?
