Ammo price increase coming April 1

Nope, not a 4/1 fool's joke. More "bad" news on the ammo scene. Vista Outdoors, owners of Remington, Federal, CCI, Speer, etc. announced earlier this month that starting April 1, they will be raising their prices 3-15% across the board.

As if that really matters at this point.

No surprise, everything has gone up since the Rona came to town.

We reloaders saw that coming months ago. Last time when bullets, powders, brass & primers were 'available' online they were 10-15% inflated from their previous highs in November. Its just a matter of time all that cascades to cartridge prices at retail level.

Not going to sugar coated for anyone; it's going to get worse. Feds already bungled the vaccine distribution and administering process. Nobody knows how long before we have herd immunity where labor force can safely return to work.

Further, if new administration keep up with hand-out money, my guess is we'll lose at least half of labor force from not returning to work.

Contrary to previous panics; this time our foreign trade partners have problems of their own therefore won't be able to assist. You can forget about seeing Wolf, Privi Partizan, Sellier Bellot, Fiocci Italy, Silver Bear, Brown Bear etc. What you see right now is what you're going to get for few years to come.

With all these uncertainty combined I doubt ammo prices will remain 'stable' anytime soon.

Ain't this the same guy (owner of Vista outdoor, etc.) who told us in a vid about a month ago to quit calling & whining about lack of supply & higher prices?

I wouldn't put it past ol Bloomberg to have his minions buying it up as well, to keep it out of the hands of real Americans. Probably have it stockpiled for future " cleansing" of domestic terrorists.

Econ 101 stuff. Given the continuing, excess demand - it would be foolish not to raise prices. Also, the ammo makers are probably seeing component price increases in their supply chains as well. Welcome to the new normal.

Skyrocketing demand.... plus the government printing money nonstop. Our money's not worth as much as it was anymore, so prices gotta go up up up.

Basically nill ammo here for months now.

Zero at Walmart, Cabela's, etc. Just what you can find on second hand market or online. All gun shows canceled as well due to virus.

Vista must be really hurting...stock price ~March/2020~$8: Jan/2021~$27. Of course the price was around $45 in 2016.
