    Value Priced Bipods.... my bad

I made the mistake of ordering 2 of the "value" Bipods that look very very similar to the Atlas model.

the first one- well the legs were loose. One tightened fine and the other stripped out. I cant tell if its a bad screw, bad thread or if the thing was made from recycled beverage cans and can not hold 15 inch pounds of torque.

the second one- I could not get it to lock down... I kept cranking and it would rotate under recoil....

Lesson learned- I just requested a return to sender for both-

    I will be out shipping

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

I know Atlas is the bees knees but Harris is also a great option and they can be found for half the price. Just remember to buy a cant tension lever for it.

Xi Xinping says thank you for your purchase of Value...
It’s unbelievable how they copy and forge American made products.

After a year I just locktited everything and put some rubber washers on the inside.

I am not an operator and usually just go prone on the ground but mostly on the concrete table. See youtube for fixes of knockoff atli.

If I had the money I would spend the $200+ on a genuine one.

          I have a Harris.

It works very nicely, and is very stable.

Yup. Nothing less. it's either new Harris...or if on a tight budget a USED Harris.
Anyway...here's a dearth of reasoning to ponder: http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Guns

a good friend has a Leepers / UTG brand heavy duty bipod that he's very pleased with. i'm told they up'd their game of late, having improved quality and establishing production in the US.

He who buys cheap....Optics Planet occasionally has 12-15% off and includes Atlas. Atlas has blems sometimes as well.

American companies won't learn the lesson that if you let foreigners manufacture your products, use their cheap labor and don't share the wealth, you run the risk of your products going grey/black market. The profit is just too high to resist....

Sometimes it just pays to spend the money. With gun parts you usually get what you pay for. If you want quality, spend the money.
