Rifles stolen from storage facility Mission Viejo

I learned the hard way not to store firearms in a storage facility.

An AR, AK, Vepr 54r were stolen from my storage facility. Lock was intact no signs of forced entry, facility has an auto security gate with keypad entry that locks every night by 7pm, it is internal storage unit so behind an additional locked door as well.

Police report filed. It is a terrible feeling to go through.
Just a heads up to not store guns/ammo in storage facilities. Learn from my mistake/loss.

Oh yeah to the thief I hope they find you!

Do you know if any other units got burglarized? or was yours the only one?

I don't. From the outside it looked normal my lock was completely intact.
Even inside my unit seemed relatively undisturbed they just took the rifle cases.

Some cameras, investigation ongoing, but it would be months of footage.

Who else had access or was aware where you stored them, any kids that have friends that might take them. First thing detectives ask.

I thought most storage facilities prohibit firearm storage. Although don't ask don't tell may apply.
Sounds like a period between visits to the check up on it.

Are the walls of the unit steel? If so, which side were they screwed in? Crooks rent units with the screw heads, and remove a piece of wall then replace it.

Storage units are easy to burgle.
I charge $150/yr to store guns.

Your lock, or the storage place's lock?

                            Someone saw something of interest...

                            Speculation
                            employee watching cameras.....

Years ago I have a storage unit broken into.... the facility claimed they did not have a bolt cutter. Police officer took a report and the employee let us use their office...

The was a 48" pair of bolt cutters behind the office door..... Same employee who said to me and the police they don't have cutters... it was his office...
