    .22LR ammunition

Is there also a .22LR ammo shortage? I did not have to buy any for a while.

There’s been a huge shortage since the Seattle and Portland takeovers and BLM rallys.

Prices are pretty high as well on most common calibers.

If you need some I suggest you contact your LGS and find out what their delivery day is, then get in line an hour early.

    Good luck.

If it fits in a firearm there is a shortage of it .
And it's probably already increased in price between the time I started typing this reply and hit send

22lr has always been the 1st caliber to go away. It makes sense because it's the cheapest to shoot. Its always a good idea to stock up on 22lr, 9mm, 45acp and 5.56/.223. Even if you don't own any guns in these calibers you can always trade or barter for what you need.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Given low profit margin of 22LR, manufacturers are probably ramping up other popular and more profitable calibers like 9mm, 556, 45ACP

Stacked deep here, I learned my lesson during the last shortage.

A shoe box fits about 10,000 rounds.

                      You've got that right.

The ammo shortages started in 08 and continued off and on since then. Always store enough ammo to prevent desperate purchases.

Properly stored, centerfire ammo is reliable for decades. What are people's experiences with old rimfire cartridges?

Just shot a bunch of Peters that had to be really old. Most of it shot just find.

Wow, I just tried to find the exact age of that ammo. It may be worth some big bucks. I will have to take a closer look when I get home...

I've got boxes of .22 lr from the 1990's all dry stored. It all shoots good, but the usual suspects like the Remington Golden Bullet still jam or don't fire in some of my guns...but it did that when I first bought it.

                              The no-ammo issue is the buyer's fault...101%.

If you think about it, you really did have to buy some for a while. Buy it if you cannot imagine you'll run out.
