What to do with unwanted ammo?

My Grandfather passed away last month and after clearing out his safes we found some old ammo. I'm talking about OLD nothing I would even shoot. Where do I dispose of the ammo we are not taking?

Local gun shows have sellers who want this stuff. They would be glad to get them.
They are FFL so dealing with them is easy.

We have we have kept about a total of about 4-5 thousand rounds and theres about 2 thousand left.

I've turned a few rounds in to the pd; a primer set sideways, that kind of stuff. They run your license. I was less than amused.
