    OCD & color-matching your magazines

NOT that zombies care about such things in the midst of the boogaloo , but if you do - take note.

Rustoleum FDE, and MAGPUL FDE, are in fact, two DIFFERENT colors!

Ranger floorplates are almost as scarce as hen's teeth these days, as no one wants to fumble their mag exchange mid-boogaloo. As these particular M3 mags are loaded with 69gr. JHP goodness, I thought I'd paint match these black Magpuls, "flat dark earth"... according to the spray can label.

Welllll... I don't expect the rubbery finish to hold the paint long anyways BUT... Rustoleum clearly did NOT consult Magpul first, as to what THEIR idea of "FDE" was.

    Note accordingly... FWIW.

That's not bad if you got a Scar with 50 shades of FDE.

You try out the brownells alumahyde in "Magpul FDE" color yet?

I painted the bottom 3" of my .300 BO magazines bright red so I'd be less likely to pop one into one of my 5.56 AR's. I also painted the magwell of the .300 BO red to increase the chances of me grabbing the right gun AND mag if a coyote, fox or bobcat pokes his head up in the back pasture.

Pretty sure Magpul fde is it’s own thing. A lot of other companies fde don’t match exactly to my Magpul stuff.

Rustoleum seems to make all their camo colors really light. Their od green is a very light sage color.
