    Sonoma / Lake co FFLS?

Any decent at home FFLs in sonoma/lake co left? I need to find one with a hicap permit.

Check Coyote Pt in Lake Co. I haven't used them, but hear all good things. Not sure if they do high caps.

    Rinkor does high caps.

I've used coyote in the past, prefer not to use them again.

Rinkor is more than likely who I will go through, I just prefer dealing with smaller / at home dealers.

DS Muffler in Lake County, absolute first class home based FFL. It's been a few years so not sure what he is up to lately, but highly recommended if he is still at it...

No idea if he has high cap permit

Complete speculation, but I assume tabletop FFLs will be a lot less likely to have high cap mag permits.

Skyhawk, I'll have to look in to DS Muffler. First I've heard of them.

The issue is finding them. A lot of the at homes don't advertise too much.

Used Vinnies’s in Rohnert Park many times and no complaints.

Probably dumb question, but what does a hicap permit do for you?

Some of the people around here are exempt from the mag laws. DOJ requires the FFL to have a special permit like assault weapons in order to do transactions. +10 mags are restricted and require the extra permission.

I'm LE. Most dealers won't ship the mags separately, especially blue label/IOP program guns.

just an FYI, but I'm one of the home based FFLs mentioned in the thread (Ken), and I do have my Hi-Cap permit for LE based purchases that include "large capacity magazines."

I did want to make a note that: every dealer in CA has the opportunity to apply for a hi-cap permit, whether they be home based or not, and have to submit a good cause statement annually when reapplying, however the application itself came via the DOJ as part of the renewal packet I submit.

if I remember correctly, DOJ started including that in my paperwork around 2017, without having to ask for it, and I've renewed it every year since, since it doesn't cost me anything..
