I just moved last months and so far most of the boxes are unpacked. Packing my range gear tonight, like I always do before range day, and I go to get my one piece cleaning rod and I can't find it. The stupid thing is like 35 inches long so it can't fit in a box. I have no idea where it could be. I checked everywhere in the house I know I did not leave it at my old house because I cleared everything out myself and then a couple days later did a full walk through with the landlord. Maybe it fell out of the trailer while moving? No, I made it a point to not have any gun related stuff in the trailer and put it all in the SUV. I have no idea where it has gone. Sucks because those rods are not cheap.

I have learned from experience that long slender objects, like cleaning robs, tend to roll up against something and are harder than blue blazes to see unless I am on the ground looking for them. Might want to check and make sure it wasn't set on something, rolled off and landed in the corner of something (I always find stuff on my carpet up against my desk). Outside of that, maybe you put it somewhere, like in a range bag, safe, etc because of it's odd shape?quemadmodum gladius neminem occidit, occidentis telum est. - Lucius Annaeus

Unless it's a steel rod you need to invest in a cleaning rod case to protect it and make it easier to find. Each of my Dewey rods has a case.sigpic

BuBye,
Pleasure meeting you at the Calguns ShootN-Q!
Yeah, took me 15 minutes to find my shorty Dewey rod this morning - got buried behind the behind-truck-seat storage...
