    Is there a DROS delay?

Hi guys, I'm supposed to pick up a rifle tomorrow...earliest possible date is whatever, 2pm tomorrow afternoon. But, I'm trying to sort out some logistics because I bought it a few hours away from home and...well, long story...but, bottom line is - is it likely that I'll be approved and ready then? It's from Sportsmans Warehouse. Just wondering if there are known delays that make it unlikely to be ready...or do they hand them over regardless?

    Thank you.

    Thank you.
Most of the release-delays that ran from about March through July/August have subsided, even for first-time buyers. (Even many of the long lines at the stores are starting to dissolve. I was at the Corona Turners yesterday, mid-day, walked in, took a number, and I was the very next number to be called for the gun-counter.)

I haven't heard of any anecdotes from others and had never experienced any myself in all that time.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

Cool thanks. I just don't want to make the long trip to pick it up and have them say "oh sorry, the DOJ didn't approve it yet".

I know...I shouldn't go until I can call and confirm it's ready, but it's a long story why I can't easily do that.

Call ahead after the first possible minute etc... and go the next day maybe?

My fiance recently bought a gun. As a precaution, they told her not to show up for pickup for 14 days, or just call ahead to check.

Last I've heard, the delays have stopped for the most part but some folks still take an extra day or two.

I have yet to have any delays this year, and I've bought a few sporadically from March to just last week

Sportsmans in Corona had DROS issues due to their internal computer system hiccups. Delayed for hours.

They will not hand it over until approved and the 240 hours has expired.

Wait until it is due, call, then go at your convenience.

Are you going on vacation for the next 20 days or need the gun for a trip the day after?

Went to my FFl to pick up on day 10, DROS was checked 1 minute early showed pending, refreshed 1 minute later and showed approved. This was 2 weeks ago.
