just wondering if anyone in san diego has any advice on where to go. not really looking for out of county advice. i know the rules and the laws, but theres a jerk at the UPS hub who doesnt let me ship ammo OR firearms. i havent had any luck at all.

really, i just want to list my rifle on gunbroker but am afraid its going to be a hassel to ship it

I shipped my M1A out from here the UPS customer service center in Kearny Mesa... I didnt have any any problems. The clerk was a female with some kind Scandanavian sounding accent and she got all interested when I told her I was shipping a rifle.

UPS center: UPS CUSTOMER CENTER STAFFED LOCATION 7925 RONSON RD SAN DIEGO, CA 92111 800-742-5877

ya, i had some black guy every time. hes a kinda shorter, heavy set guy. he also thought that the ammo can i had was illegal and that i couldnt own it. i think he said he was ex army or something and said that he never saw an ammo can off base

go to UPS's website and read what the requirements are. If you're not sure then call UPS and ask them what you need to do. Once you have this all worked out, printout the information on shipping firearms and take it with you to the Kearny Mesa hub.

If they give you any grief, I would POLITELY ask to speak with a manager/supervisor. Calling UPS HQ is another possible tool you can use that might help you out if you run into any 'ignorant' workers.

UPS/FEDEX will ship firearms, but you have to follow their rules. Dont get discouraged because the service person isn't aware of what's going on.

Hmm.. yea, that guy's a retard.. might want to talk to a supervisor (hopefully it's not him). The girl I dealt with knew exactly what to do when it came to shipping guns.
