    Disturbing news from Wally

So I was stopping in at the Dixon Wal-mart to see if they had some 9MM. Started talking with the Ammo Lady and she said that she has recieved word that the TAX on ammo is going up 500% soon due to new legislation. Now I don't know if she was looney or what, but just thought it was interesting and wanted to see if you all have heard anything.

I usually shoot my Mosin's to help shoot slower so I don't spend as much on Ammo. Looks like I might need to start shooting a Muzzle loader or My Gamo Pellet Rifle.

Back in the day in Chicago, Obama voted for a 500% local tax on ammunition. It didn't pass, even in that extremely gun-hostile environment.

Right now, thanks to conservative Democrats from western states, supporters of RKBA have a small majority in both the house and senate. There's no way that any punitive tax has a chance in the current environment.

Your Wally-World clerk heard a rumor. A pretty stupid and annoying rumor. Given current ammo prices, that rumor has helped line someone's pockets, but it hasn't been my pockets, and I'll bet your wallet doesn't feel any thicker either.

Every once in a while I stop by there on or from my way to work and always check out the ammo selection. It's always bare, and they always say a new shipment will be in the next day and it never is. The one time they did have something I wanted I waited literally 35 minutes for them to try to find the key to open the cabinet and no one knew where it was.

I was told the same thing last time I bought ammo.

i was actually told "all the yahoos are freaking out because theres a black gun opposing democrat in the white house" and that he was already passing a law to disarm civilians and thats why everyone is buying up guns and ammo at an alarming rate....where do people come up with this dumb ****???

at the same time though, a clerk at my local wally worl did tell me (about 3-4 months ago when the ammo shortage really hit around here) that winchester shut down an ammo plant and that the remaining plant, as well as the remington plants were all on the east coast. she was saying thats why the west coast wallys dont have any ammo while the east coast, south, and mid-west have all they need...now that one sounds a little more plausible. i wonder if that one is true though?

ya, i get that at the local wally world here in san diego. i actually waited 20 minutes one time just for them to come back and say "we dont sell ammo past 10:00pm"...only to look at my phone and see it was 10:07pm. i was rather erked. suprisingly, i didnt yell at the guy or throw anything at him. apparently my wife really has taught me to relax a little

This "ammo lady" at the Dixon store is the same one that hides ammo behind the counter for better customers. Her views are suspect.
