Very true. Having the books is ok. Having ANY parts for a FA conversion is a very very bad idea if not illegal altogether. Especially if you own a weapon that they might fit in. It would be ill advised.

When I got my AK kit. It had the FA FCG included.
Not illegal unless you have a rifle they can be installed in. And a parts kit is not a rifle until it is assembled. I kept them until I built the rifle. Yea, I thought about it.... But now they are scrap metal.
There's just something about a prison shower that really turns me off...

YES. Many fail to realize that CA state law prohibits any FA FCG part.
Any AR Hammer, sear, disconnector, selector, trigger... Even notched rails not welded to an AK receiver!

I see this all the time, and I'm amazed that some of you guys still don't get it.
I'm sorry, not trying to be an a55.

1. Any conversion part is a NFA item, federal law. (A gun part designed, or made for converting, is considered an MG.) (Smiting tools do not apply.)
2. Any FA part in a free state is fine, by its self...However FA parts with matching model receivers = constructive possession, federal law.
3. Any FCG FA part in the state of CA is a state felony. CA does not have a constructive possession law, you can have SB uppers, but any FA FCG part alone is a state felony. BCG is not considered a FA FCG part as it has been classified part of the upper.

^ See above. As for State law, a single FA FCG part is a Felony.
But you didn't say you built your rifle in CA :-)

I am interested to hear the outcome of the sellers reputation.

Getting the forms filled, and paying the tax stamps does not seem to be the problem, but doing the work just for a s*** slamfire is not worth the effort. I am expecting the thing to be dam* well close to the norrel trigger pack that goes for 9k itself.

BTW, did anyone else notice how much of the serial number was visible in the video? If the BATFE really wanted to track this guy down, I assume that the serial would be a good starting point. Now, if they are NOT hunting this guy down, well, that's your entrapment.
