Where Do You Post Range Reports?

    Hi!

Hey, are range reports something you guys talk about? For example:

Greetings and Salutations, This past Sunday afternoon I took my new XD9 4" service model out for its maiden voyage. My brother and I traveled down to Prado Olympic Shooting Park for a couple of hours fun. Ken wanted to rent a Glock to shoot but they were not renting today. Drat. So we took...

Greetings and Salutations, The fetching Mrs. BassCliff and I had a date at the Lytle Creek Firing Line today. She did great with my XD9 even though it is a bit big for her hand. She likes the gun but we'll shop for a more compact model for her. We both have another training session in a couple...

Greetings! I guess you could say I went to a Halloween Party costumed as a noob shooter. Since the Mrs. is out of town I took a solo trip up to Lytle Creek Firing Line just to shoot up a couple boxes and practice a bit at cross-dominance. I'm having cataract surgery in my right eye just before...

Hi! The pulchritudinous Mrs. BassCliff and I had another training session at Burro Canyon Shooting Park today. Jacob, our instructor, told us to be on the line at 7:30am so we got up early and were headed up Azuza Canyon at 7am, right on time. It's a nice drive up the canyon. We arrived at...

Friends and neighbors, It was quite a workout today at Burro Canyon Shooting Park in the canyons above the lovely city of Azuza. The fetching Mrs. BassCliff and I loaded up our kit and headed out for an 8am shoot-em-up. This is the access road up to the shooting park. We are really climbing...

Greetings Patriots! I had an epic day visiting a new range while at my gig in Las Vegas. I also remember visiting a drop zone out here when I was into skydiving. I got to jump with one of the Flying Elvises. No joke! Anyway, it was a cool, clear, pleasant morning for a drive through the scenic...

I actually have a range visit, my family's first instructional class, that happened before all these others. Where do you guys post your range reports? Is that a thing here?

I love to see others having fun, learning, getting out in the fresh air and sunshine, putting holes in paper and stuff, making things go bang.

Please pardon the noob enthusiasm but, um, I'm enthusiastic!

    Thank you for your indulgence,

Of course - some CalGun members actually shoot their guns...

Just create your own thread in "General" section and post photos and comments.

I have a few AAR (after action reports) here in CalGuns. Some a few shakedowns of guns that I have, some are competition, while some are reviews on classes... Here are a few -

          That's good to know!

I figured there are a few of you here that actually shoot things. I hadn't noticed any range reports. But I'm pretty new here, don't know my way around, and didn't see a dedicated section for range days. Sure, if you guys don't mind I'll just spark up some electrons here the next time i get back from the range.

            Oh, I don't think so.

Eventually I think it would be fun to take part in local events but I'll never be an expert marksman. This old noob needs lots more practice. My family and I have been training mostly for home/self defense. I'll ask my instructor about getting involved.

Excellent, detailed reports. I have yet to take any intensive class like that but our instructor teaches at Burro Canyon. We've been training once a month and then usually go to a closer range to practice once a month. That's about all we can afford with ammo prices what they are.

Are you using a software program to draw and calculate your groupings? Very sharp.

Wait, people shoot guns around here?

Seriously though, either in the pistol or rifle thread as appropriate, or just the general section.

Yaaassss! I guess somebody's shooting something. Otherwise there would be no ammo shortage, right?

Thank you, I will post in the appropriate section. I don't have a long gun (yet) so you'll have to put up with me in the pistol section. You've been warned.
