The KRISS Vector system uses two selectors. One safe/fire selector and one fire rate selector (semi, burst, auto) that is forward of where the safe/fire selector is.

KRISS does not sell any of their semi-auto only Vectors with select-fire markings/selector.

KRISS only uses select-fire markings/selector on their Title 2 MGs.

From the photo, the Vector has select-fire selector with markings, which would indicate that this is not a conversion but an actual factory made submachine gun.

The prohibited weapon is not a firearm.

The report stated: "nine firearms, including one fully automatic .45 caliber machine pistol, and one prohibited weapon".
^Remove the sensationalism and it's "nine firearms and one prohibited weapon".

The prohibited weapon could be one of the many melee weapons that are banned in CA.
^Such as metal knuckles, baton/sap/etc, cane sword, nunchaku, pen knife, shuriken, etc.

Looks like a Browning High Power.

          1. The pistol does not have a grip safety.
          2. The magazines look like Browning High power style magazines.

            2. The pistol has a ring hammer, which was on the BHP Mark 1.

            3. The magazines look like Browning High power style magazines.
            Got it. Thanks.

Thanks Quiet for the precise explanation. The Happy Switch can be clearly seen in the photo.

Isn't that a KRISS in the upper right? Those aren't legal in Idaho?

I don't know, with all the Glock mod platforms these days, but that looks like a KRISS

EDIT - Just saw the "San Andreas/Calaveras Co." Tag....

Those KRISS rifles are legal here in SC and I know ID is a good solid state so they better be legal there too!!
