What would a semiautomatic minigun look like?

Would it be possible to make a minigun like the GE minigun but in semiauto? I mean they got semi auto belt fed already, would be cool to have

It would just spin constantly and one round per pull of the trigger. 2x as cool with a binary trigger.

In the mid 90s some guy rigged up four SKSs with drums with a crank system...

The high rpm of the minigun is driven by an electric motor which also controls the feeding, firing and extraction of spent shells. It might be possible to limit a minigun to semiauto, but it would no longer spin, just rotate at the speed of firing.

                    What's the fun in that?

It would actually cost more than a minigun because someone would have to engineer a disconnector.

You could rig it up to shoot pretty fast though because the trigger would be electric. Suppose you had 4 piano keys and each one fired a round. You could "pull" 4 keys in rapid succession over and over. They would have to put in something where it wouldn't work if more than 1 key is pressed at a time.

Like I guess I meant to say one spin per trigger pull, that would vary which barrel would get shot out of. not sure how we could pull that off. The point is, it just looks cool.

2AZone had one of these in stock about 5 years ago. They wanted 45k for it.
                          It's a very impressive gun.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.
