what pistol is this? Film - post-WW2 France

Greetings - I was watching "Maigret" - a French detective show, and one of the detectives used the gun pictured to disable a fleeing car.

The show is set in France, roughly 1950 or so.

As you might be able to tell, the gun does not appear to be too big.

Any thoughts as to what it might be?

Sorry for the blurry photos; I was photographing the image on my TV.

    thanks

    Richard

Pic looks like a Walther PPK, however, it should have been a Manurhin PP. Manurhin PP is the French licenced version of the Walther.

It should be a .32ACP Manurhin PP, because 1950s-1960s era French police would be using that.

Most likely it's a .380ACP Walther/Manurhin, because of blank ammo use.

It's amazing people took the time to document all the guns in movies. There are some obscure stuff too sometimes. You can even do a reverse search of what movies/tv/anime in which a gun was used.

I believe the picture is actually a PP (longer slide).
All the Walther's and Manurhin's were made in France after the war till about 1980, no matter what the Walther's were marked.
Same pistols, just different markings and grips.
