    My first 1911...

Picked up my first 1911 earlier today that I bought from an awesome fellow CG'er.

This is my first 1911 and I already love this thing. Aesthetically, nothing else I own comes close (including a couple Berettas). Love my Berettas and XD9, but there going to be ignored for a bit during the honeymoon period.

Got to love the Springfield 1911. It's hard to beat them. I've got a couple of them and I've never had a single problem.

FWIW, there is a handgun forum here..

It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

You still need one in .45ACP.

Thought about that, but without any .45 ACP ammo it's just a paperweight. I have a lot of 9mm, so it was the logical choice this time.

I wasn't sure I'd dig the stainless finish, thinking it was too flashy, but I really like it. Think it will look even better once it gets more smudged and scratched up!

You should send in a packet to the CMP to get in line for a chance to pick up an issued 1911A1. it will be a while before the lucky ones get called but that gives you time to save up.

                              Nice one OP!

My condolences! They multiply and get expensive!

A full size 9mm 1911 is the next on on my list!
