    FFL Robbed in OC?

I got an e-mail and phone call from ATF (I am assuming since I have a 03FFL):

"This is an important message from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. A Federal firearms licensee in Orange County, CA has experienced a burglary that resulted in the theft of firearms. Please ensure the security of both your inventory and property and report all suspicious persons or activity to your local police department. Additionally, notify ATF at 800-800-3855 if you find any of your firearms missing, lost or stolen."

Anyone know any details about this?

I'm sure it was law abiding people tired of the 10 day wait..criminals don't do things like that

I'm pretty sure it's been covered already, but as far as I remember folks with an FFL no matter the number designation have gotten the same exact call.

They don't typically say "has experienced". They say more like "increased risk" or something.

Was that the DC number I blocked the other day? I figured nothing good could come from answering that call.

I am pretty sure that this is fairly standard, while I do not have an FFL this isn't the first I have heard of it... the ATF will notify other FFLs in the area in the even of a robbery or an attempt at one

Yeah it was a DC number. The language suggests that this was an actual incident. It would be great to get more information so that we could learn from any mistakes that were made or potential for a different outcome.
