State law is inferior to federal law. Billing address being in California simply means I wanted to receive my mail. We have documents that say when we're leaving. California can try whatever game they want to play, and they will fail. It is an absolute certainty.

It was either here or DC, and was tired of Virginia. I survived Highland Park, IL. I can probably survive California too.

I'll be in Phoenix this weekend. I understand completely.

Brownells and Midway are also more expensive than most online retailers. For example, hexmag magazines are $15-16/ each on their websites. I found other sites selling the exact same product for $9-12. They are my first selection when searching for items though.

For those that mentioned gift cards, that's a great idea I didn't consider going that route. I'll try to keep that in mind for future purchases.

As an aside, I wish I could obtain a CCW. Maybe FPC or CalGuns might be interested in a Culp v Madigan/Raoul type case. It won't matter, though. I'll be out of here soon enough. If they're interested, I hope they find a strong candidate/plaintiff.

Right? One size metal polish not allowed, but another size of the exact same thing: good to go.

We had a case: Peruta v. San Diego County. It was denied denied writ of certiorari by SCOTUS in 2017.

By working in the state, CA likely considers you a resident. If you read the DMV handbook, IIRC, you have 30 days from when you started working in the state to register you vehicles you have in CA with the DMV and get them smogged. They also require this of out-of state students that come her for school. I live close to a private university and the local police are famous for writing tickets for this two months after the school year starts. They love the extra revenue.

So you can apply for a CCW through the sheriff's department, that is if you live in a county that is friendly towards issuing CCW permits. The process can take a year or more, especially with COVID now.

Even if you had your permit, and you were in a situation that you could legally use the gun for SD, expect to be arrested and charged, this is CA and the use of a gun for SD is considered a crime by our overlords.
Anyone can look around and see the damage to the state and country inflicted by bad politicians.

A vote is clearly much more dangerous than a gun.

Why advocate restrictions on one right (voting) without comparable restrictions on another (self defense) (or, why not say 'Be a U.S. citizen' as the requirement for CCW)?

You know, you can go online to your credit card account, change your billing address to match shipping address, wait 24 hours for it to "settle", place your online order... once it ships, reverse the change to billing address. No law and no "policy" prevents you from doing so. Thought for next time.

You think that's frustrating, checkout the FAQ of https://www.battlehawkarmory.com/faq

We only ship to the continental United States with the exception of California. We do not ship to California or outside of the continental United States.

This sentiment is commonplace in other shops as well as on Gunbroker. Oh well, we take our money elsewhere.

I would say yes, but it seems California would say no...

Let California try. It's a slam dunk loss. They get no say in my residency, vehicle registration, tax filings, drivers license, etc. It's federal law.

I'm also familiar with the phrase, "You can beat the rap, but you won't beat the ride." I pay for coverage for things like that.

Btw, SCOTUS was different in 2017 than it is now. And, Peruta and Culp were very different lawsuits.

This discussion is just about gun rights, wait until you figure out that it's the same for everything in CA. If you want it, need it, or especially if you need it for your survival it will be taxed or limited in a manner until they figure out a way to tax it at least twice, in some cases more. Or just decide you don't need it.

They know better than you a not just think they have the right to limit or exclude, they legislate so.

I was born and raised here and for some reason I feel that I will lose so much by moving, but I can't figure out what. If I ever get out (of my mind as well) I doubt I would ever look back. It's sad that they F**d up the best state in the country (IMHO) so badly.

I am done with Commiefornia. Even if you have a CA billing address, it is perfectly legal to buy magazines online and ship them to a free state as long as they aren't brought back to Commiefornia.

We will see what Dementia Joe comes up with, but as of now this is legal.
sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.
