Buying a pistol lower from a LEO?

Ok, if LEOs are more of less the only ones in the state able to buy these, is there any way to purchase one from your friendly neighborhood cop? Can you transfer a pistol lower only from them, or does it have to be complete? And are they allowed to do it?

I am not sure so I'm sure someone will correct this but I THINK a stripped pistol lower can be ppt.

A stripped pistol lower can be PPT'd as a "handgun".

Are there any issues for them buying a pistol lower and selling it to me? As much as I wold love to do this, I DO NOT wat to get my friend in trouble in any way, shape, or form.

The exception for LEOS is theoretically for handguns they might use on duty. But there is no paperwork required from the officer's department, no agreement to sign, no engraving on the gun required. A LEO is free to buy a pistol, and then decide it doesn't meet his needs, and sell it PPT.

It's possible that excessive transactions of this kind might be made, and then come to the attention of The Authorities, but so long as the officer engages in no more than 5 PPT selling occasions per year, s/he is within the law.
