Ghost-Loading from the 3-Gun guys, or aka Float-a-Shell from the duck hunt folks?

During a class, I tried it once on my Benelli M2 3 Gun, just to see if it worked. It did, and that's it.

I think it is useful for competition but I wouldn't do it for a home defense shotgun.

        Looks awkward .

Once youv'e stood before enough covey rises 870's top themselves off.
What do you call the people that abandoned the agenda of John Kennedy and adopted the agenda of Lee Oswald?

Works with my Beretta 1201FP. Makes it 6+1+1.

Works on my Benelli M3. Cool to know it can do it.

What has happened "a few times accidentally" ?

During the course of a covey rise you switched to your left hand to load and threw a live shell in on top of the one on the shell carrier?

If you don’t push a shell all the way into the magazine tube, occasionally it doesn’t make it into the tube and slides back under the bolt. Has happened to me, my brother, cousin, dad, etc. We all run 870s, manufactured between 1967 and 2015

Edit: never have seen it happen on the range shooting clays that I can remember. Only in the field in the heat of the moment iirc

I didn’t think it was possible to ghost load an 870. I took a defensive shotgun class and the instructor discussed ghost loading. He showed the guys running benellis how to do it, but specifically said that it doesn’t work in the 870.

Have anything to contribute? Or just being a snarky ****head?

Ha ha, saw that too. When you just gotta get one more shell in the tubes... I have 9 capacity in mine. If I can't do what needs to be done with 10 then that's my bad.

It's a feature, not a flaw in the gun

Seriously though as a 3 gunner I had to spend the better part of a day to modify my bolt to get it to work correctly on my benelli M1.
