    Glock on DOJ roster.

I see the Glock 17 under the roster. However it only specifies black. How do we determine the generations which are legal here? It does not seem to specify the generation in the website roster. I know that's the gen 3 is the only one that I have heard is certified. But it doesn't specify gen 3.

Can I order a Gen 1 on GunBroker and have it shipped here? I'm a little bit confused with this roster.

I know if it's made in the US it's not on the roster. Must be from Austria. Check other sites for CA legal g17s and get the model numbers.

From the DOJ roster, for others, not you BP:

No Generation 4 or Generation 5 Glock handguns have been approved as of: Saturday, November 28, 2020
No Glock handguns made in the USA have been approved as of: Saturday, November 28, 2020

          For Glock pistols...

The Roster listing applies to Gen 1-3 pistols that are made in Austria.

The Roster listing does not apply to Gen 4+ pistols.

The Roster listing does not apply to Gen 3+ pistols that are made in USA.

The Roster listing does not apply if the model designation is different than what is listed.

The Roster listing does not apply if the color, caliber, or barrel length does not match the listing.

The Roster listing does not apply if the handgun has it's factory parts replaced with non-factory parts.
^This does not apply to iron/night sights.

So the P80 a remake of the Gen 1 is Ca compliant?

The P80 is not on the roster. If you find an individual who has one in California and is willing to meet you face to face to do the transfer, you can do it that way, as for any pistol.

It is CA legal, but off Roster because it is marked as a "P80" and not as a "17".

However, because it uses the same internal parts as the "17" and it is made in Austria, Glock can submit it to be listed on the Roster using an exemption due to it being a variation of the on-Roster "17".

That said, because the Glock P80 is an exclusive distributor limited edition run, they are unlikely to spend the time and money to get it listed.

you can always click "Ask Seller a Question" on GB and confirm they'll ship to CA

still have to confirm your FFL can/will receive and transfer to you

this argument right here could have single handedly overturned the roster if the sc wasn't a bunch of weenies. The state is literally admitting that the color of the gun makes it safe or not.
