For the most part gun control laws are "feel good" laws.
^They don't do anything to address the underlying issues, but they give a sense of security to the uneducated.

Politicians pass them to feel good about themselves and so they can show their voting base that they did something to stop "gun violence".

It's why a city or county will pass a law to make something illegal, that the State had already made illegal, years after the Feds made it illegal.

It wasn't so much that Cincinnati had the ban, it was the lawsuit to have the ban overturned that confuses me. Why keep prosecuting a suit that even if you win, bumpstocks would still be illegal federally?
