Thoughts on bulk buying lowers?

This is true, even OUTSIDE of CA.
They'll still be REGISTERED to you, should you decide to flip 'em down the road though (Oh wait - I'm thinking of free state realities again. We can sell 'em person to person here).sigpicComment

I remember when everyone was trying to get lowers back in 2013 when everyone was afraid Gov. Brown would sign the bill banning all semi-auto rifles in California.
I think Rifle Gear had a deal at the time. 3 Aero Lowers for $99.00. Yes, I did buy quite a few. Still have one from that batch that hasn't been built yet.
Get what you can. They're inexpensive (mostly) and don't take up much space.Comment

DROS is a Federal form. Not trying to big time anyone but I’ve put 25 or so guns on 1 form. And there had been times where I bought enough they had me do another 4473 just because. Not positive if the state of Ca mandates a fee but in America they are not required to charge any fees for DROS/Transfers. A dealer can put all he feels like dealing with on 1 form. Best thing to do- ask a couple FFls “hey, for $XXX would you receive XX of lowers for me?” Maybe explain you don’t mind waiting until he has time to log them. (Which takes very little to no time at all but CA FFLs typically act like it takes forever and they should be compensated.) I’ve been fortunate to have friends who are FFLs. Seemingly they “could” receive 100 lowers at one time and could charge as little as they want.Comment

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).Comment

GOOD LORD!!! It's $20 bucks a pop here at my LGS in South Carolina.
Between that and the current cost of ammo, kamala and joey don't need to do anything for gun control, the industry is doing a fine job of it right now."There's still crime in the city, but it's good to be free"

Because every damn lower, mutates into guns and parts for guns until you have 15 rifles laying around when you really have only 2 arms. Plus training to get familiar and deadly with just one already takes time and volumes of now expensive ammo. My opinion is no need to buy a ton of lowers unless you plan to arm friends and family and general populace. Just save money train and buy the restricted FP lasers, night vision and accessories, armor that will give you a tactical advantage against all those other folk with the same same shyiet you got. All things being equal...you must make it not equal...to win.Comment

My thoughts too. After Biden won I had a list of about 25 guns I wanted to buy and then rational thought took over and I narrowed it down to a few.
I would rather spend money taking a few good tactical training classes rather than have a safe full of firearms.
I've already got an AR, AK, AR9 and 6 handguns between me and my lady. I realized that having about 10 mags ready to go for the AR and AK and a handful of Glock mags which work in my AR9 are good enough. If SHTF I can be on the AK with 300 rounds ready to rock and she can be on the AR9 and we should be OK. Same goes for our CCW pistols.
A team of SEALs probably go out with about 1800 rounds or so for a 6 man team, and if it takes them more, they will probably bug out. If I can't get it done with 300 rounds, I'm probably dead anyways and may even deserve to die at that point.
You can make an argument for needing to switch weapons to let barrels cool down, but still...
Same goes with my CCW pistols, I carry 13 in my HK VP9 and 10 in my Glock 29, even with an extra mag, if I can't get the job done while being mugged at the gas station, I probably deserve what was coming to me."There's still crime in the city, but it's good to be free"
