What are my options?

I ordered some rifle ammo online and the seller's site didn't say anything about having to be 21 to sign for it. I just got my ship confirmation and now it says I do.

There's the slim chance my land lord might sign for it(she doesn't know I shoot or have guns on site.) or maybe they won't ask for ID if I'm home when they drop it off. But what are my options if for example if I have to have it shipped back because I can't sign for it?

Is the ammo for a rifle or a handgun. Legally you have to be 21 to buy handgun ammo. Can a friend sign for it? If it is handgun ammo, they should have never sold it without verifying your age.

I remember picking up wine from FedEx for my dad well before I turned 21, despite the big warning on the box to check. Didn't even ask for the signature.

It's possible if you look over 21 the delivery guy won't even bat an eye.

My understanding is that UPS just has an "adult signature required" option which means the recipient has to be 21, the seller can't specify the age. The driver may or may not check your ID, usually they just ask verbally.
