1 oz Silver Bullion Bullet .45 Caliber Replica

I just came across this as I was browsing gold & silver prices, just wasn't sure where to post it. I thought some .45 ACP enthusiasts, such as myself, might find it interesting.

Is that a bit of Rossini I hear in the background?

So it’s 1 oz of silver shaped into a .45 ACP round - fun, but I’d think resale would be at scrap since it lacks numismatic value.

Agreed, in the sense of what states further down the page, a keepsake or mantle display.

But it's a far cry less than the 10oz .50 cal round... Other silver rounds available.

              Must be a "youngster".

The "LONE RANGER" was a very popular Western TV series in the 1950s.

Starring Clayton Moore...........pictured by Librarian. He shot SILVER BULLETS in his six shooter.

Theme song of the series was composed by this guy. Gioachino Rossini.

EDIT FOR HONORABLE MENTION...............C0-Starring "Jay Silverheels" as TONTO. His trusty savior and side kick.

No, not a youngster at 51, but not always the brightest. lol

I recognized the Lone Ranger, but didn't put two and two together, even less so with the reference to Rossini.

                  Again, pardon my ignorance.

At 51 you're younger than my kids. So still a bit of a youngster to us elderly types.

Born in 1969. You weren't likely old enough to remember when the "MASK" law suit pissed of millions of Clayton Moore/Lone Ranger fans.

The stuff this dredged up. Got me to thinking...

Was the Lone Ranger's shootin' ammo silver or just the souveniers he handed out?

Were the cases silver? Would silver be strong enough to contain even a black powder load?

Did they have nickel plating back then?

Would the Lone Ranger be shooting black powder? Paladin had special loads custom made with that newfangled smokeless powder.

Was the Lone Ranger a contemporary to Paladin?

I went to the dentist today & she gave me some Vicodin.

"Have Gun, Will Travel" (Paladin) ran 1957-1963

The Clayton Moore "Lone Ranger" ran 1949-1957

                            So 1-season overlap, excluding re-runs.

Timeline within the series? I get the impression that LR is earlier than HGWT, despite LR's un-cowboy garb.
Like many Westerns, the [HGWT] television show is set in a nebulous time period, after the Civil War

Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.
