So when do prices return?

learn to reload, cast your own bullets...ammo shortage itself may last as long as two years plus, that was how it was in past cycles. And some prices never came down, lead shot being one of them...TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

I think this is the correct answer. As soon as the radicals around senile Joe turn their attention to: "How can we screw gun owners and take away "assault rifles?", and "How can we limit the availability of ammo?", you can expect a permanent panic.
I don't know if that's how it will go down, but any discussion by the Biten administration regarding gun regulations, bans, gun taxes, ammo restrictions, etc. will shake gun owners hard.sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.Comment

Sounds good to me, please don't buy any ammo! I think you should just wait to see what happens, just kick the can down the road, after all what could happen?
I mean, really, we only have the most radical anti-gun, anti-2A administration in the history of America about to take office...What can go wrong?
Just chill! Do me and a lot of gun owners who want ammo a big favor, don't worry, don't buy ammo or guns. Thanks.

I am still waiting for prices to go back down to where they were in the 80's.
In the 80's, I was hoping they'd go back down to what they were in the 60's.

i'm waiting on all those first time democrat buyers just off-loading their guns.
should have some good deals on some BNIB guns that were never fired.Originally posted by leelawBecause -ohmigosh- they can add their opinions, too?Originally posted by SoCalSig1911Preppers canceled my order this afternoon because I called them a disgrace... Not ordering from those clowns again.Originally posted by PrepperGunShopTruthfully, we cancelled your order because of your lack of civility and your threats ... What is a problem is when you threaten my customer service team and make demands instead of being civil. Plain and simple just don't be an a**hole (where you told us to shove it).Comment

2-3 years.I picked up the sport a few years back so I'm still a noob, tho not as nooby as some...
as much as I get the surge in sales I'm getting impatient. Low inventory and ridiculous prices have kept me from buying anything new.
So question is, after doomsday demand surges in the past, how long before things return to normal? 6 months? A year? People have to get tired of paying out the nose at some point right?
I had back orders for AR parts from 2008 arrive in 2010.
Primers, components and ammo is much the same.
It will slowly adjust downwards, but you won't see the AR market hit bottom for 3-9 years depending on what new gun control shenanigans the president elect tries to pull.Randall Rausch

About 6 mos. after Trump gets declared the victor. Or 6 mos. after the NEXT Republican President is seated - whichever comes first.
Started stockpiling the summer I saw Clinton get the nomination - 1992.
These things get worse with every passing demtard, FYI.

There is a myriad of issues afflicting gun/ammo prices and availability. The largest of which is supply. Manufacturing, international and local distribution, the lack of lead production in the USA. Then demand of course. If the shelves were all stocked full of 9mm @50cents a round, do you think people won’t buy it? There is an entirely new group of leftist idiots that don’t know any different, and they don’t care. They think that one or two boxes of 9mm is more than enough to satisfy their fear. One trip to the gun range, one cleaning kit and one sock drawer for safe keepin’. The graph shows different spikes in recent history, relating to Obama and Sandy Hook (I think). The spikes appear to last no more than 18 months. However, this is different, unprecedented. I’ve heard from a lgs that the prices will only take a couple of weeks to calm down. False. A youtuber mentioned that this is the new normal, it will take 3+ years for a reprieve. Unknown. No one knows, not the manufactures, not the consumers.

Ya most of this is wrong. *supply and demand is the answer for every economical question ever, its too vague. The law does not pertain to ammo btw.Prices are not high, its all retail prices, secondary market may have some issues, as for ammo supply in demand, limit 1 box, and retail no price gouging
its illegal, go to you local gun shops they should have what you need. demand
is high, that is the issue, as for when will demand stop? when the government checks stop showing up in their bank accounts, lock down 2.0 starting tomorrow.Comment

Should biden be installed and the Republican's lose the day in Georgia (Jan. 5) I'd look out - todays prices will be the best you can get for some time.1. Compared to what?
2. At what cost?
3. What hard evidence do you have?

Everything hangs in the balance on Jan. 5th. If we keep the Senate we might be able to hold back the flood of insanity until 2022, at best.
We will still get more troops deployed to more places, BATF going crazy, mass immigration, etc. etc. And with little support for election reform just more of the same of what we just saw, leaving little chance for success in 2022 for the house.
If we lose the Senate, then all bets are off. The Dems. could make any law they wished and it would likely pass the Senate and be signed into law. No help from the Supreme court as they'll pack that with partisan hacks, the filibuster would be gone, the electoral college, gone. America as we know it would be gone.
The PRICE of ammo would be the least of your concerns. It would mean civil war, or, take the knee. How sad we may have come to the point where the only thing worse than a civil war, is no civil war.sigpicComment
