Is [Handgun X] legal?
Unless a handgun is a California ‘assault weapon’, the answer is usually yes.
The Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale is confusing. That really applies to dealers selling handguns, not individual ownership or possession.
The Roster also does not apply to intrafamilial transfer or to California Private Party Transfers (PPT).
